How are donations used?
75% of every dollar goes directly to programs — school supplies, food, clothing, and essentials for children. The remaining 25% covers lean operations including logistics, transportation, and coordination to get supplies where they're needed.
How can I volunteer?

Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. The VelRod Charity Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity (EIN 39-4476752), so donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. After you give, you'll receive an email receipt to keep for your records.
Where exactly do you work?
Our primary focus is the Dominican Republic — specifically rural communities, small towns, and villages in the countryside. We have an established presence in La Vega and continue to identify communities with the greatest need.
